On November 23rd, 2008 around midnight companies from the 5th and 7th Battalions responded to the report of a dwelling fire in the area of Ewers and Michigan. E39 reported that they had heavy smoke in the area of Michigan and Livernois. E39 stretched on a vacant dwelling going in the rear, with occupied dwellings on either side extending in to the exposure on the "D" side. E8/10/39 L8 S4 C7 and RIT E27 worked on this box.
