On Monday February 23rd, 2008 around 8:30 am the Eastpointe Fire/Rescue received a call of a house fire at 16234 Ten Mile Rd. Upon arrival, Command reported heavy smoke and fire conditions. Crews made an aggressive attack on the fire and a quick knock down was made. Neighbors reported that the occupant was not home and a primary search reviled the same. Off duty call backs were made, bringing additional manpower to the scene to aid in overhaul and clean up. Crews worked for over an hour to control this fire.
